Post 41 – Day 28 Kickstart Coaching for Affiliate Marketing
Day 28 Kickstart Coaching
Dean started off by apologising again for this coaching not going as planned during his time in the US, while he was at the various events that he was involved in and taking part in their presentations over the past 2 weeks.
He then went over the problems with FB for those listening and the recording, then a quick update on what he has been able to do. ie. continue to introduce free content on FB.
Going through Deans stats on the email buy ( solo ad ) that he purchased as a different strategy to the FB ads to see how that would work.
He paid for 500 Clicks……got 678 people who clicked the link……….with 132 going to the optin page and 1 customer for the free book “Affiliate Marketers Playbook”.
Obviously he paid more for this solo ad but got better engagement, but still not that good.
Also an announcement from Dean that the “Kickstart Coaching” will continue for another 2 weeks……GREAT
We then moved on to the main part of todays session of a Q& A session.
Again a lot of good information about how the “Internet Profits” company works compared to other offers.
Also information of other peripheral components that we use for our business and further ways of advertising on FB which we will look at in the future.
A lot of information on solo ads and checking out vendors also keeping records of who we use.
Some of the information given relate to similar ones I used recently, but not directly but as an overall on vendors.

Post 40 – Update on Solo Ad For My Affiliate Marketing
Update on the solo ad run and it was not very good.
Did get tracking information from the vendor who uses a company called Bitly. He sent me the link after everything was set up so that I could track the clicks.
Got clicks but not the 5000 as promised, only 4678. Going by my stats this is just the people that opened the email.
Of that only 886 clicked on the link in the email to the offer, with no optins and no sales.
This vendor is supposed to know their audience on what works best and they write the email content?
I contacted him about this and he is going to run another solo ad for free, where I have changed the link and use a different subject line for the ” Affiliate Marketers Playbook”
We will see if this makes any difference……..but going by what has gone before I will not hold my breath.

Post 39 – Day 27 Kickstart Coaching for Affiliate Marketing
Day 27 Kickstart Coaching
Started with an update from Dean as to his FB ad campaign that has been blocked.
Although FB have reinstated this ad account the method of payment has been blocked as the card he is using for payment is registered in the UK but he is trying to use it for FB ads in the US while travelling and they adjudged this to be suspicious activity.
This has left Dean not only a bit angry but frustrated as it obviously affects the live training for which he was very apologetic as there was nothing he could do at the moment until he returns to the UK to sort it out.
That being the case as he would not be back in the UK for another 9 days so would be unable to continue with the coaching on FB ads until that time.
He admitted again this was very frustrating but some time these things happen when running a business, so we need to adjust too that and carry on.
This also gives us some more information in learning curves for the future to be aware of.
He will continue to upload new free content onto FB but will be unable to boost this with paid ads.
He also said that someone travelling with them had mentioned the use of a VNP which would prevent this happening. He didn’t know exactly what this was or how it worked but said it was perfectly legal to use.
Obviously this is something I need to look into myself for my use when travelling.
Dean has been looking into and found a new source of solo ads which he was trying out and will come back with detail of how successful this was.
He will also look into other solo ad vendors and in the next coaching session go through the process he uses to vet vendors………something that will be of interest to me.
Finish off with a bit mentoring that although there is not much happening at the moment with the coaching we have all the tools to carry out the work ourselves and drive our business forward.

Post 38 – Solo Ad Purchase for My Affiliate Marketing Campaign
I decided it was time to run some solo ads for the “Affiliate Marketers Playbook”
Had a look at some information I had already had and some new from emails that I had been sent and plumped for one that was promising the following:
Targeted Solo Traffic – Get 5000+ Clicks – Sales Guaranteed
TODAY ONLY: Buy 1 Solo Ad Get A Second Solo Ad For Free!
IF YOU DON’T MAKE SALES THEN YOU GET A FREE SECOND SOLO AD!
– Guaranteed Clicks
– Guaranteed Optins
– Guaranteed Sales
– Detailed Click Tracking Included
ONLY $37
I know it’s a bit cheap but though worth a try so signed up.
Disappointment No1 this is through Clickbank and they change extra for EU VAT.
To me that is a con to get more money out of you as how can a US company working out of the States charge EU VAT.
So the final cost was $46.03 not happy but just continued with the ad and will look into this VAT thing later.

Post 37 – Day 26 Kickstart Coaching for Affiliate Marketing
Day 26 Kickstart Coaching
Dean gave us a bit more information in his problems with FB and there was some conflicting information.
Firstly he got notification from FB that they had fixed everything, but when he went over to his FB page he was being told that everything was still disabled.
So he was going to get back onto them to get this sorted out again.
He also announced during the Q&A session that followed, that even although we were now in our final 6 week of coaching it is going to continue for a bit longer.
More great information and mentoring during the Q&A
